Mini and Micro Bags: How, What and Why
They are trendy and cute, they are hot and tiny, they are Mini Bags. The problem with these bags though is the fact that they are very difficult to style and they are NOT practical. Or are they ?! I am going to give you my advice on everything that has got to do with these bags from tips to buying them to how to style them. Thank me later š.

1) The Space "Problem" of Mini Bags
1) The Space "Problem" of Mini It is general knowledge that practically nothing fits in Mini Bags but actually if you pick the right bag and the things you actually need in your bag,, space would not be an issue. For example I was surprised by how much you can actually fit in a mini Lady Dior! I could fit my wallet, cardholder, 2 phones and my glasses in that tiny bag. When I bought the Lady Dior I was actually thinking about getting a Marc Jacobs bag but even though the Marc Jacobs looked bigger, it fitted less things. So when you want to get a Mini Bag check their measurents especially their depth because one bag may have a bigger width but less depth therefore meaning less space for you to put things in your bag (this was why I chose the Dior over the Jacobs and ended the dilemma). Also remember to actually put the stuff that you actually use in the bag and remove stuff you are sure you won't use therefore obviously leaving you with more space.

2) Getting your Mini Bag.
Ā
Keep one thing in mind: Your Mini Bag should always be the statement piece in every outfit you ever wear (while wearing the Mini Bag of course). So I would advice you into looking at your wardrobe and looking at what colour you wear most. For example I love blue and 50% of my clothes are of course blue so when was thinking about what colour I should get my bag I wanted to choose a colour that paired with my blue closet but was not blue, so funnily enough I went on the internet and searched for complimentary colours (the ones we had to learn by heart in Art class) and lo and behold I got the orange Mini Lady Dior. Just Kidding, I got the green one š but the colour wheel actually helped me in comparing and seeing which colours go best with blue and I actually suggest you do this to every bag you get so that you'll always have a statement piece which elevates any look to the next level.

3) Wearing your Mini Bag.
Ā
How the heck do you style a bag thats a little bigger than your palm? Well hear me out, after a couple of fails and horrible outfits I now consider myself a connoisseur of āOutfits X Mini bagsā (after stalking insta and hunting the internet š) and Iām going to share my ideas with you of course !
- Sweatpants, sweatshirt, sneakers and of course your Mini Bag : I think right now you are saying is this bitch serious ? But actually If styled perfectly the outfit would look bomb. Hear me out, picture yourself in matching sweatpants and sweatshirt, hair in a ponytail, mirrored sunglasses and new shiny sneakers! A Mini bag would be just the perfect statement piece to elevate the look to a more classy and elegant approach.
- Mini bag X Suit : Imagine yourself in a tailored suit, patent leather heels (preferably Christian Louboutin in my dreams šš), wavy hair/afro and a Mini Bag such as a Mini Fendi Baguette! What is a better way to make you look like Miranda Priestly herself ?!
- T-shirt, Shorts and a Mini Bag : Nothing beats this for a perfect Sex in the City style look for the Summer. Perfect for a drink with friends and also a pizza night! Long Trench coat, heels and your delicious Mini Bag : Nothing beats a more āI donāt give a fuckā attitude look that is reminiscent of Matrix but with a very slightly sweet feel. Pair the trench coat with heels/sneakers and any accessories you want.
- Dresses and Mini Bags : By dresses I mean almost all types of dresses (halter, bodycon, shirt dresses and all short dresses). Avoid wearing these bags with ball gowns and very long dresses because in that case the dress itself should be the statement piece.

4) Where and when should you wear a Mini Bag?
Ā
Well I mean definitely not to work š, but definitely to a calm night out with friends, a fancy restaurant (and also Mc Donalds of course), an Aunt's Birthday party, ok I'll stop. Basically you can use your pocket sized bag for everything you want. It can be worn casually example going to Starbucks in sweats and you don't want to carry a lot of stuff but also it can be worn for a Fancy night to take your look to the next level. What determines if you wear it casually or fancy is obviously the clothes you wear it with.

5) Budget and Quality Yes I know this should have been the first thing I mentioned š but all jokes aside, getting a good quality, classic bag that is perfectly made and was made with every little attention to detail in mind and a bag which last a lifetime could cost a fortune. Well that's why we are here: We sell amazing authentic designer pieces that tell a story at the lowest prices possible you will ever find in the market so that you would have key pieces in your wardrobe that are investments because selling them would give you either the same money for what you bought the bag for or even more. But the most important part is that the pieces you buy from us will last a lifetime and even be family heirlooms you pass to your children and that is why we do what we do here at Doorway to Fashion.
Hope I did not bore you and see you soon,
